So you've learned how simple it is to recognize your peers for their work. Now what? Our platform offers a couple things that allow you to start conversations around the recognition and posts that other people have written and highlight ones that have had a high impact on you and your peers!
Adding a comment
Comments are a great way to start or join a conversation around recognition and the great work of your team. They are a quick and easy social tool that can be used to increase the value of recognition posts and shout outs, build understanding between groups, and help keep the company experience part of day-to-day conversations.
To start a comment, navigate to the Activity Feed.
Scroll through the activities or filter the page to find the post you would like to comment on. (Learn more about Activity Feed Filters.)
Once you locate the post, type your comment in the text box below the post summary and click the comment button (or hit return/enter) to add it to the feed.
If there are already comments underneath the post, the comment box will appear after the last comment. Comments appear in the order they are received (oldest to newest).
Public comments are posted in the activity feed for everyone to see. In addition, the author of the post and the recipient will receive a notification when a comment is placed. Private comments can be made by reviewers during the Review Process.
Not sure what you should include in your comment?
Make note of the impact you think the recipient's actions will have on you, your group, customers, or the company. For example, "The way you handled that upset customer was a great example of the Superior Service we are known for."
Using the words from your company values, behaviors, impacts, etc., helps your teammates see how their work makes a difference and supports the overall company experience.
You can also use hashtags and mentions in your comments to make them more fun and interactive.
Liking a Post or Comment
Another way to feature posts that have a high impact is to "like" them. The Like feature allows people to quickly show enthusiasm around a specific post and highlight ones of particular importance.
To Like a post or comment, click the Like icon under the post summary or below any comment.
If you want to view all liked posts, click on the Like tab on the right side of the Activity Page. You can use filters to sort this list.
Comments and Likes on the Mobile App
To write a comment or like something while on the mobile app, click the icon from either the Activity Feed or on the post page itself. For a comment, type your text into the field that appears after tapping the comment field ("Write a comment..."), then tap Comment on the right side of the screen. Your like or comment is immediately added to the feed.
