What is the value?
The Living the Brand Assessment helps your company identify where and why employees are engaged, leading to more informed decisions. In addition, the assessment provides data that can easily be tied to financial, customer, or other employee metrics for a more complete view of company success. The Living the Brand Assessment shows your team that management is taking strides to improve the parts of work that lead to disengagement and offers employees the opportunity to provide feedback. Finally, it brings employees in as “part of the process,” which builds their relationship with you (as their manager) and helps increase their feeling of relevance to the company.
How does it work?
The Living the Brand Assessment takes about 10 minutes to complete and is conducted every six months. The short assessment asks questions to determine employees' level of engagement and (in most cases) asks employees to provide their perspective on how consistently others around them are doing the company’s basic behaviors. The frequency of the assessment provides direct feedback into what is working and where there may need to be additional focus before progress fades or challenges worsen. The assessment is confidential—so no one will know what a particular respondent said—however, companies are able to support solid participation by viewing who has or who hasn’t completed the assessment. Finally, the assessment can be taken on either a smartphone, tablet, or computer to allow easy access for everyone to promptly provide feedback.
What will we do with the results?
Once the survey is complete, managers will review the average scores for groups and will hold Survey Results meetings to share the high-level results with their teams. These meetings are not intended to be long presentations of data, but to be conversations to discuss what the data may mean. Importantly, these conversations are meant to help select one or two simple focuses that the team will take on to improve the work environment, the customer experience, or business results.
