Users in the Brand Integrity Platform can earn two types of points based on the program's specifications: Lifetime and Redeemable. Below is a definition of each.
All users in the platform earn points for different activites (e.g., posting a recognition, receiving a recognition, commenting on posts, etc.).The Lifetime Points value associated with a user's profile is the cumulative total of these points. It is a single number that reflects a user's participation in the platform.
The amount of points earned for a specific activity is determined by a program's specifications and can be found on the Points page.
For programs that use the platform's redemption feature, a separate point value is calculated. The Redeemable Points value is the total number of points available to redeem using the Catalog. Redeemable Points increase and decrease as a user earns and spends points.
Users can see the number of redeemable points on the Profile page and on the Catalog page. The Catalog page also notes the point-to-dollar ratio (e.g., four points equates to one dollar). Users can see the balance of points earned and points redeemed on the Points page.
Points in the platform do not expire. Lifetime Points will continue to increase as a user completes activity in the platform and Redeemable Points will increase and decrease based on the user's activity and gift card purchases.
What happens to points if an employee is terminated or leaves the company? This is determined based on a company's specifications. For more information, contact your Program Administrator.
