Brand Integrity has partnered with Ping Identity to facilitate Single Sign-on (SSO) to the Brand Integrity Platform. Connecting your log-in server to the Brand Integrity Platform is easier than ever!
Brand Integrity will initiate the connection between your company and Ping Identity. All we will need is an email address of the person who handles SSO connectivity in your organization. The instructions below assume this is you.
To prior to setting up SAML with Brand Integrity, you will need the following:
- A SAML server with provisioned users or connected to an identity repository such as Microsoft Active Directory or LDAP
- The Remote Login SSO Endpoint URL for your SAML server (sometimes called SAML Single Sign-on URL).
- The SSO Logout Endpoint - where to send the user when logging out.
- The SHA1 fingerprint of the SAML certificate from your SAML server. X.509 certificates are supported and should be in PEM or DER format. There is no upper limit on the size of the SHA1 fingerprint.
Step 1: Receive the email
You will receive an email with an invitation to create an account with Ping Identity to connect to the Brand Integrity Application. The following is an example of what the email will look like. (NOTE: Sometimes the email is sent to the Junk folder)
Step 2: Create the account
You will need to create an account with basic user information such as company and title.
Please note: If you have used Ping Identity in the past, you may use an existing account. You do not have to create a new account in order to set up SSO for the Brand Integrity Platform.
Click, Add the connection to an existing Pingone account to connect to an existing account.
Step 3: Create the connection
Ping Identity needs a few pieces of information to complete the connection between you and the Brand Integrity platform. Follow the steps below to set up the connection.
Click on Incomplete under Status to open the modal.
Click the Complete link within the modal to open up the Identity Repository Edit Configuration form.
Fill out the form and click Save Configuration when you are through.
Step 4: Complete and inform Brand Integrity
Once the configuration is successfully completed, you're done! The last step is letting Brand Integrity know so that we can perform a test to ensure everything is set up correctly.
In order to be able to debug and test successfully, we may need to get a "tracked session" of the SAML connection. This tracked session will have information which will help us debug any issues further. Using the SAML tracer add-on for Firefox or Fiddler is recommended.
